About Us

The Toy Shop UK is an independent, family-run business in Biddulph, Staffordshire UK.

Initially a website established in 2005, AibosnStuff.co.uk, specialising in sales of AIBO and AIBO-related accessories, the product range expanded to include toys of all kinds.

In 2007 we moved into retail premises in Biddulph. The shop bears the name of our first eCommerce site.

The Toy Shop UK enjoys a position of being completely independent. This means that we are not limited in the range and variety of products we can supply. The only criteria for inclusion in the shop is that the toys are high quality, fire the imagination and are ones we like.

Nor have we forgotten our responsibilty to the environment, the planet and its peoples. We already recycle and reuse wherever possible. We are now including more and more Fair Trade, ethically sourced and charity based products in the range of toys.

Recycling

Where possible we reuse packaging.

Your items may arrive in outer boxes that have been reused. We would encourage you to reuse the boxes and packaging and dispose of all unwanted materials using your local recycling facilities.

Fair Trade

Our Rag Dolls suppliers create beautiful handmade rag dolls, soft and wooden toys.
These fine products have been sourced direct from the supplier's own Sri Lankan factory for many years.
Their factory operates to the principles of fair trade. No children are employed and all the workers are paid wages according to set norms.
Supporting the local economy is something they strongly believe in. Most of the raw materials including the vibrant handloom fabrics are produced locally.

Charity and Community

We are responsible members of the community, locally and globally. As AibosnStuff.co.uk we carried out work in local schools introducing youngsters to Robots and giving hands on experience of robotics.

In the past year charity donations have been made to several local schools PTFA's and a variety fundraisers.

As far as possible we select products from suppliers who share the same world outlook as our own, for example, 'Cause, donates a percentage of its sales to education projects overseas.
